It is with great sadness that the Gate Church Community learned that our friend and church brother, Ray Fenton passed away late last week. We are sending all our love and prayers for his dear family and friends at this time. In his Christian walk, Ray worked quietly behind the scenes to make church a warm, welcoming community. He could be found setting up equipment and chairs for Sunday service, flipping hamburgers at a church BBQ or filling and delivering Christmas hampers. Ray was a charter member of the Friday morning Men’s breakfast group that meet at Humptys where his wit and dry humour will be greatly missed. A celebration of Ray’s life will be held at Memories Chapel on September 20th, 2024 at 1pm. May he rest in peace.
My Deepest condolences to his family during this time and my apologies that I'm not able to attend the funeral! I sadly can't take the time of work without enough notice

Being church, and our scriptural discipleship in that journey, values the relationships Jesus brings and cares for community, and is less about religious institutions.
